Answer: Anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, parenting support, relationship challenges, grief, anger management, etc. My specialties include treating trauma and anxiety disorders in children and adolescents.


Question: What can I expect during the first session?

Answer: The first session typically involves an intake process where we discuss you (or your child’s) history, concerns, and goals to develop a personalized treatment plan.


Question: How long does therapy last?

Answer: The length of therapy varies depending on individual needs. Some people benefit from short-term therapy, while others may require ongoing sessions for more complex issues. Individual sessions for children can also typically depend on their age and developmental level; for instance, while most therapy sessions for adolescents and adults are generally 45-60 minutes long, a young child’s session may last 30-40 minutes, depending on the child’s developmental stage and their attention span and engagement level.


Question: How frequently do sessions occur?

Answer: Sessions are typically weekly, but frequency can be adjusted based on your progress and needs.


Question: Do you accept insurance, and how does payment work?

Answer: We accept a variety of insurance plans. If you’re paying out-of-pocket, we also offer payment plans. Check with your insurance provider for coverage details.

Answer: Fees vary depending on the length and type of session. We can discuss this during your consultation or first session.


Question: Is therapy confidential?

Answer: Yes, all therapy sessions are confidential, with exceptions related to safety concerns (e.g., harm to self or others) as mandated by law.

Answer: I provide therapy for children ages 3 and up, adolescents, adults, and families.


Question: Can I cancel or reschedule my appointment?

Answer: Yes, but we ask for at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling to avoid a late cancellation fee.

Answer: It can be helpful to write down any concerns, symptoms, or goals you’d like to discuss. Bring your insurance information if applicable.


Question: Do you offer online or teletherapy sessions?

Answer: Yes, we typically offer in-person, in-home, and virtual therapy (telehealth) sessions, to accommodate your needs. However, please note that at this time we are only offering telehealth sessions and in-home sessions if you reside in the Morgantown or Fairmont, West Virginia areas. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
